Watkins quality products Root Beer Baked Beans

This months featured product is Watkins Gourmet Original Barbecue Sauce witch is in this recipe.  We have had it on pork on the grille and it was sooo good.  Just like any other of their products.

Root Beer Baked Beans


1/2 lb/225 g bacon, diced
1 medium onion, diced
2 tbsp/30 mL Watkins Gourmet Original Barbecue Sauce
1/4 cup/60 mL ketchup
2 (28 oz/798 g) cans baked beans
1/4 tsp/1.2 mL Watkins Imitation Root Beer Extract
1/2 tsp/2.5 mL prepared mustard
2 tbsp/30 mL brown sugar
To taste, Watkins Purest Granulated (not
ground) Black Pepper—All-Natural


Cook bacon and onion in skillet until bacon is brown and
crisp. Pour off drippings. Combine barbecue sauce and
ketchup; add to skillet. Mix in remaining ingredients.
Bake at 300°F/150°C for one hour.

LISTENING TO YOUR UP-LINE

Should you listen to your up-line?  Well I guess that would depend on what type of business you are in.  If you are in a conventional business that may not always be true.  Yes your boss is going to tell you stuff to help you keep your job but that is not always going to be to your best interest.  It will always be to the company's best interest.  

The same goes for MLM's also.  You have to look at what you are told and see if it makes sense and if it meets your morals.  If it does and it does not hurt anyone else then go for it.  Listen to your up-line.  I have been following my up-lines guide since I have started Watkins and it has been spot on.  Every thing they have been telling me has been working out.  My business is growing, I am making money, and I am enjoying what I am doing.

It has been a win-win situation.  When you can have trust like that life is good.

Petro-Carbo Salve

Watkins Petro-Carbo Salve.  Was doing a follow-up with some of my customers today.  I talked to one of them that has had psoriasis for years on his arms.  He is a mechanic and has been to the doctor and tried all kinds of medication for it and has had no luck.

EARN MONEY FOR YOUR CHILDREN'S COLLEGE EDUCATION

Are your children's college funds covered?  Do you even have a plan on how to pay for their college?  Would if something happens to you and you can't work will they have to quit college?

USING CRAIGSLIST OR SIMILAR ADS

Using Craigslist or similar to place ads.  As you may remember on the 1st of February I started placing ads on Craigslist.  I have been placing 2 to 3 ads per week now and I feel that it has been working great for me.

I have had over 50 people visit my Summit Group Web Site to check out what I am doing.  Now that may not sound like a lot of people, but I heard a while back that if you are going to be doing a networking business that you need to talk to 10 people a day. 

Since I have started my Watkins business I have had close to 400 people either reading my blog or answering my ads.  In three months that is 90 days.  Now that is not quite 10 people per day but it is a lot more than what I used to do with my other networking business.  Also it took me about 30 days before I really got going in this business after I started.  And the best part I am not chasing them, they are coming to me.

Chocolate Berry Pound Cake with Whipped Berry Cream



1/2 cup/125 mL raspberry preserves
2 cups/500 mL all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups/375 mL granulated sugar
3/4 cup/180 mL Watkins All-Natural Baking Cocoa
1 1/2 tsp/7.5 mL baking soda
1 tsp/5 mL salt
2/3 cup/160 mL butter, softened
2 cups/500 mL sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Original Double Strength Vanilla

Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C. Grease and flour a 10-inch/25-cm fluted tube
or bundt pan. Melt the preserves in a small saucepan over low heat; stir until
smooth, then cool. Place flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a large
mixing bowl. Stir with a whisk to blend well. Add the softened butter, sour
cream, eggs, vanilla and melted preserves. Beat at medium speed 3 to
4 minutes or until well-blended. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake
50 to 60 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted into center of cake
comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes on rack, then turn out of pan and cool
completely before slicing.

Whipped Berry Cream:


Whipped Berry Cream
1/4 cup/60 mL raspberry preserves
1 drop red food coloring (optional)
1 cup/250 mL whipping cream
1/4 cup/60 mL sifted confectioner’s sugar
Fresh raspberries (optional garnish)


To make cream: Melt preserves in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until
smooth and cool slightly. Stir in red food coloring (if using). Chill beaters
and bowl in freezer for several minutes. When chilled, pour cream into bowl
and add sugar. Begin whipping at high speed. While whipping, slowly pour
in melted preserves in a steady stream and whip until stiff. Store covered, in
refrigerator before serving over pound cake. Garnish with raspberries
if desired.

YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GREAT SYSTEM

Not all  MLM companies are created equal.  You have to have a system that any one can do.  And that is exactly what we have with The Summit Group and Watkins.

On  The Summit Group  call's on Thursday nights it was mentioned about using Craigslist.  I decided I was going to give it a try.  Well it didn't work.  It would not let me post my ad.  I got on  The Summit Group  training web site and looked up Craigslist and found a video on how to place an ad.  I played the video yesterday and followed exactly what it said.  I even picked an ad from the web site and put it on Craigslist at 1pm yesterday.  By 5:30pm I had a lot of hits to the ad so I checked my free web site that  The Summit Group  provides and had  4 or 5 hits to my site already.  One ended up being a good candidate.  That is what I call duplication.

You see a lot of people will tell you they can't do this but all it takes is following direction and doing what is out on the training site, putting in that 10 minutes of effort and maybe you will have another income stream coming in for life.

All I have to say is that if anyone is looking to do better than where they are at now you can do this.  It is not hard.  If I can do it anyone can.

Corn Chowder

Ingredients

1/2 cup/125 mL chopped celery 2 green onions, sliced 2 tbsp/30 mL butter 3 cups/750 mL water, divided 1 cup/250 mL peeled, diced potatoes 2 tsp/10 mL Chicken Soup & Gravy  (Watkins #21176) 1/8 tsp/0.6 mL Black Pepper 12 oz  (Watkins #01141) 1/2 cup/125 mL Cream Soup & Gravy  (Watkins #21179) 1/4 cup/60 mL all-purpose flour 1 cup/250 mL milk 1 can (8 oz/227 g) cream-style corn

Cooking Directions

In large saucepan, sauté celery and onions in butter until tender. Add 1-1/2 cups/375 mL water, potatoes, Chicken Soup Base and seasonings. Cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender. Combine Cream Soup Base and flour; stir in milk and remaining water. Add slowly to vegetables, stirring well. Add corn and bring nearly to boiling, stirring frequently; do not boil. Garnish with additional green onion slices, if desired. Makes 6 servings.

Watkins Update

Well it has been a little over two months since I have become a Watkins Associate.  I have added an Associate to our group and have three others that are getting more information and should be joining soon.  It is amazing how simple this business works when you have a system like The Summit Group to work with.  You go to there web site for training and follow what they have to say and the directions that they give you and before you know it your business starts to grow.

I am excited to see where this business is going to take me.   In just the short couple of months that I have been working it I have had people inquire from Michigan, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and New Brunswick.  Unbelievable where all these people come from.

I got our first order of products in December and it was almost like Christmas.  It was our initial order and they had an assortment of products from food products to personal care products.  My wife likes the Watkins Peppermint Foot Cream the best.  She says it really soothes her feet when I rub it on for her.  My self it is the Watkins Lemon Hand & Cuticle Salve.  That works wonders for your hands.

We ended up the month of December going from Consultant to Bronze Consultant.  All we have to do is keep doing what we have been and help others grow there business and see them grow and we will grow along with them.

Make This Your Best Year Ever

Christmas is close and before you know it, it will be a new year.  It is now time to make your New Year's resolution.  We have been talking about this on the Summit Group.  What is my New Year's resolution.  I think the title tells you that.

I want this year to be the best, the best as far as travel goes, the best as far as being able to spend the best time with my friends, the best as to be able to give to those who are in need, the Best Year Ever.

Now that I said that what do I do.  If I leave it at just that then all I have is an empty wish.  There is no meat there.  There is no plan to make it happen.

I can go along this year same as I did last year but with prices going up what good is that going to do.  I could ask for a raise but in my case I am retired, who do I talk to about a raise.  For yourself talk to your boss,  I am sure he would give you a $1,000.00 a month raise.  May be if you just work a little harder,  spend a little more time at work and away from the family that will help.  But then the kids won't know who you are by the end of the year.  You could take on a second job that would work.  Or maybe not.  You are already working 60 hours per week now.

Well maybe I will just win the Lottery, but then again that didn't work last year either.

Maybe I have a rich uncle that will pass away and I will inherit it.  At my age I would have to be the rich uncle because we are the oldest generation.

Or you can do what I did.  I went into business for my self.  It is not mowing lawns or plowing snow or delivering papers.  All of those you still are not your own boss, and you do not own your own time.  I am talking about getting paid to promote someone else's products.  If you are scratching your head and saying what...... then you need to got to The Summit Group and check out what I am talking about.

The only way you are truly going to get ahead is to leverage your self and time.  There are just not enough hours in a day to work yourself ahead.  Along with The Summit Group and Watkins, they are the ones who supply those products that I promote, you have the perfect combination to do just that.

But it is going to take you getting up and saying I am going to make a change and I am going to do it now, before anything will change.  If you don't then you will be right here again next year saying the same thing and wishing the same thing but not getting any thing done about it.

Home Brew and Watkins

What could be better than combining two of my favorite things especially at Christmas time.  Here it is December with Christmas approaching fast.  I decided that I am going to take my new home brew kit and make a Christmas beer.  Now in this brew there is such things as Ginger, Cinnamon, Cloves and Almond extract all of witch I get from Watkins.  You mix it all up with some canned cherries and malt extract and water and then put in fermenting keg add yeast and wait for the yeast to do their thing.  After they are done eating the sugar and pooping out alcohol you bottle it let it age and then drink.  What more could you ask for?

COMPANY INTEGRITY

MY NEW WATKINS HOME BASE BUSINESS

I joined Watkins and the The Summit Group on November 15th, 2011, the opening day of deer season here in Michigan.  I have been in other home based business before but nothing like this one.  With all the support that you get from the The Summit Group you can't go wrong, unless you do nothing with it.  I signed up my first Associate before the end of November and Monday I am going out to sign up my second.
