Root Beer Baked Beans


1/2 lb/225 g bacon, diced
1 medium onion, diced
2 tbsp/30 mL Watkins Gourmet Original Barbecue Sauce
1/4 cup/60 mL ketchup
2 (28 oz/798 g) cans baked beans
1/4 tsp/1.2 mL Watkins Imitation Root Beer Extract
1/2 tsp/2.5 mL prepared mustard
2 tbsp/30 mL brown sugar
To taste, Watkins Purest Granulated (not
ground) Black Pepper—All-Natural


Cook bacon and onion in skillet until bacon is brown and
crisp. Pour off drippings. Combine barbecue sauce and
ketchup; add to skillet. Mix in remaining ingredients.
Bake at 300°F/150°C for one hour.

MAKE MONEY DOING WHAT YOU ALREADY DO

How would you like to make money doing what you do already?  That kind of sounds dumb doesn't it?  What am I doing now that I can make money at that I am not already doing?

Well if you are still working you are making money at what you are doing, but when you are not working what are you doing?  You are out hanging with some friends, visiting, playing ball, bowling, boating or what ever.  While you are doing these things you are talking and gossiping.  You might say something like wow you should have seen the movie I just seen, you have to go see it.  Or you may be watching TV and your buddy says where did you get that TV and you say I bought it at Joe's and man you ought to see the ridiculously low price I got it for.  The next time you see your friends they say wow thanks for telling us about that movie, we went and seen it last week and it was great or they may say wow look at our new TV.   We went to Joe's last week and bought the one just like yours.  We love it thanks.  Now, here is the kicker, how much did the movie theater or Joe give you for directing your friends to them to buy their goods or services?  Nothing why not you sent them didn't you???

There are companies out there that will do exactly that.  Every time you use something that you get excited about and let a friend know about it and they buy it you make money.  It is kind of getting paid for advertising for that company.  They save money on big advertising and you make money for word of mouth advertising.

USING CRAIGSLIST OR SIMILAR ADS

Using Craigslist or similar to place ads.  As you may remember on the 1st of February I started placing ads on Craigslist.  I have been placing 2 to 3 ads per week now and I feel that it has been working great for me.

I have had over 50 people visit my Summit Group Web Site to check out what I am doing.  Now that may not sound like a lot of people, but I heard a while back that if you are going to be doing a networking business that you need to talk to 10 people a day. 

Since I have started my Watkins business I have had close to 400 people either reading my blog or answering my ads.  In three months that is 90 days.  Now that is not quite 10 people per day but it is a lot more than what I used to do with my other networking business.  Also it took me about 30 days before I really got going in this business after I started.  And the best part I am not chasing them, they are coming to me.

If you don't get out enough to talk to people the internet is a great way to work your business.  You just have to have the right tools and the right people to help you do it.  That is where the Summit Group and I come in.  The Summit Group has the tools and I will work harder than you will to get your business started.

Watkins Rezist Plus

Watkins Rezist Plus.  This is only one of the reasons I love Watkins.  Watkins Rezist Plus is a food supplement that Watkins has that helps you to resist colds and allergies.

YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GREAT SYSTEM

Not all  MLM companies are created equal.  You have to have a system that any one can do.  And that is exactly what we have with The Summit Group and Watkins.

On  The Summit Group  call's on Thursday nights it was mentioned about using Craigslist.  I decided I was going to give it a try.  Well it didn't work.  It would not let me post my ad.  I got on  The Summit Group  training web site and looked up Craigslist and found a video on how to place an ad.  I played the video yesterday and followed exactly what it said.  I even picked an ad from the web site and put it on Craigslist at 1pm yesterday.  By 5:30pm I had a lot of hits to the ad so I checked my free web site that  The Summit Group  provides and had  4 or 5 hits to my site already.  One ended up being a good candidate.  That is what I call duplication.

You see a lot of people will tell you they can't do this but all it takes is following direction and doing what is out on the training site, putting in that 10 minutes of effort and maybe you will have another income stream coming in for life.

All I have to say is that if anyone is looking to do better than where they are at now you can do this.  It is not hard.  If I can do it anyone can.

Watkins Update

Well it has been a little over two months since I have become a Watkins Associate.  I have added an Associate to our group and have three others that are getting more information and should be joining soon.  It is amazing how simple this business works when you have a system like The Summit Group to work with.  You go to there web site for training and follow what they have to say and the directions that they give you and before you know it your business starts to grow.

I am excited to see where this business is going to take me.   In just the short couple of months that I have been working it I have had people inquire from Michigan, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and New Brunswick.  Unbelievable where all these people come from.

I got our first order of products in December and it was almost like Christmas.  It was our initial order and they had an assortment of products from food products to personal care products.  My wife likes the Watkins Peppermint Foot Cream the best.  She says it really soothes her feet when I rub it on for her.  My self it is the Watkins Lemon Hand & Cuticle Salve.  That works wonders for your hands.

We ended up the month of December going from Consultant to Bronze Consultant.  All we have to do is keep doing what we have been and help others grow there business and see them grow and we will grow along with them.

YOU CAN'T BUILD AN MLM

Most people think they can not build an MLM business and you know what you are right.  Just like you can't build a car, or you can't cook, or you can't shoe a horse.

We are not born to do much of any thing.  We learn how to do things through out our life.

I hear people say boy I wish I could make some money.  Or there just aren't any jobs out there that pay.  And I tell them what I do and they say I can't do that.  What they mean is I don't know how to do that or I don't think that will really work, or I have never seen anyone make any money doing that.  They don't know that I couldn't do that when I started either.  You have to have a mentor and a system to be able to do something new.

First off multilevel marketing is not hard to do and you can make a lot of money and help a lot of other people make money and you don't have to work your behind off to do it.  If you have well respected products, a product that gets consumed and has to be purchased again, the only other thing that you need is a good system to make the MLM business work.

THE POWER OF A NETWORK

Oh the power of a network.  If most people new the power of a network we all would be rich.  But alas they don't.  Look at the miraculous things that have been done lately.  There was that guy on a motorcycle that hit a car and the car ended up on top of him and was on fire.  If only one person tried to help nothing would have gotten done.  But along comes another, and then another and pretty soon you have six or twelve and they are able to lift the car while another one of them pulls the guy from under the car and save his life.

That is the same thing that we are looking at in our Watkins Business.  You start out and you are alone, sort of. You have those who have sponsored you and luckily I have my team in The Summit Group.  Suddenly I am not a team of one but two.  Then something happens and you believe a little more and you become a team of 20 and you start making some money.

Before you know it your team has grown and you don't even know a quarter of the people who are involved but they are all on your team.  Working together for the one goal.  To help each other realize their dreams and make money.  WOW  kind of sounds like work don't it????.

YOU CAN'T MAKE MONEY SELLING

I am often asked "can I make money selling your products?" or "do you make a lot of money selling those products?" and my answer is yes and no.

Can you make a lot of money selling products to people.  I would have to say the answer is no because how many people do you have time to reach and sell products to?  It takes time to talk to people and sell and how much time do you really have?  Now can you make money doing what I do?  the answer is yes.

If all you need is a few hundred dollars to get you through the month, then by all means, sell a few products, and make a little extra income.  You can make $100.00 to maybe an extra $1,000.00 a month selling the products, if that is all you need, and I can help you do that.  But if that is not enough money to fulfill your dreams there is a better way.

Make This Your Best Year Ever

Christmas is close and before you know it, it will be a new year.  It is now time to make your New Year's resolution.  We have been talking about this on the Summit Group.  What is my New Year's resolution.  I think the title tells you that.

I want this year to be the best, the best as far as travel goes, the best as far as being able to spend the best time with my friends, the best as to be able to give to those who are in need, the Best Year Ever.

Now that I said that what do I do.  If I leave it at just that then all I have is an empty wish.  There is no meat there.  There is no plan to make it happen.

I can go along this year same as I did last year but with prices going up what good is that going to do.  I could ask for a raise but in my case I am retired, who do I talk to about a raise.  For yourself talk to your boss,  I am sure he would give you a $1,000.00 a month raise.  May be if you just work a little harder,  spend a little more time at work and away from the family that will help.  But then the kids won't know who you are by the end of the year.  You could take on a second job that would work.  Or maybe not.  You are already working 60 hours per week now.

Well maybe I will just win the Lottery, but then again that didn't work last year either.

Maybe I have a rich uncle that will pass away and I will inherit it.  At my age I would have to be the rich uncle because we are the oldest generation.

Or you can do what I did.  I went into business for my self.  It is not mowing lawns or plowing snow or delivering papers.  All of those you still are not your own boss, and you do not own your own time.  I am talking about getting paid to promote someone else's products.  If you are scratching your head and saying what...... then you need to got to The Summit Group and check out what I am talking about.

The only way you are truly going to get ahead is to leverage your self and time.  There are just not enough hours in a day to work yourself ahead.  Along with The Summit Group and Watkins, they are the ones who supply those products that I promote, you have the perfect combination to do just that.

But it is going to take you getting up and saying I am going to make a change and I am going to do it now, before anything will change.  If you don't then you will be right here again next year saying the same thing and wishing the same thing but not getting any thing done about it.
